Granny Square Afghan

My granny square afghan is just about finished. I just have to crochet the border tonight.

Resting at the moment - waiting for the border to be applied.

These are all the beautiful baby hat, blankets and booties that were made as part of a Lenten knitting project for need newborns.

I come from a long line of gardeners so naturally I love flowers. Although my apartment is filled with beautiful plants, a flower garden is not possible. So I have created my own Secret Garden by photographing all the beautiful flowers I encounter in my travels or just across the street.

The 3-stitch seed pattern was selected as symbolic of planting peace, healing, love, comfort and hope into the shawls by the shawl maker for the receiver.
