It was another beautiful Baby Shower
and everything was finished just in time with the exception of the kimono sweater.
Here is the blanket that I settled on.
It was crocheted with the “Irish Chain” stitch using Cascade 220 Superwash. It is one of the easiest patterns I know once you get past remembering how to do the first three stitches. When it was done I trimmed it with green so it would match the hat
and sweater.
The kimono sweater is from Mason-Dixon Knitting. It is very simple, done in one piece,
sewn together
and ribbons added. I added a crochet trim to this too.
I knitted the sweater with Sublime and really enjoyed the project. (I promise all the pinks do match. I just have to work on lighting when I take the photos.)
And I included one of my sock babes.

Hello Marybeth,
I want to do the kimono and have the pattern. I also bought cotton yarn as suggested, but I need to know how to enlarge the pattern. I'm just a beginner knitter and need help. The baby girl I'm knitting for was born in July,so I need a larger size. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Hi Marybeth,
I just love your kimono the edging looks perfect for the kimono. What I wanted to ask though was about that cute cute cute sock babe. Is that something you knit or is there somewhere they sell it? It looks oh so cute.

Hi Marybeth,
I love the kimono sweater. The green trim is a great finshing touch. I'm working on a white kimono and would love some advice on binding off for the sleeve. Thanks.
